Jackson - 3 Months Old!

Well, I wouldn't expect it to go any other way... I took Jackson to get his 3 month pictures taken today and right before we went in, he was all smiles. As soon as they started taking pictures, he got bored, tired and fussy! SO, we got a few pics taken before he couldn't take it anymore and I put him in his seat and he went to sleep. After about 20 minutes, I was still looking at the pictures when he wakes up ALL smiles and laughs!!! Oh well, we got a few anyway and I am going to try and get the wonderful smiles here at home :)

Just Like Daddy

Well, it seems as though Jack's looks aren't the only thing that takes after Daddy... now he likes to carry around a "blankie." Really any diaper rag or towel or blanket will do, but he holds it tight, swings it around and sucks on it.

Here he is laying on his "under water" jungle gym that Uncle Skip and Aunt Cheryl got him - he stares at the octupus and kicks the rattles to make noise. He LOVES it... but still won't let go of his "blankie" :)

Jackson is 11 weeks today and can't wait for his first 4th of July! This pic was taken with my phone but I just had to show off his shirt :)

Jack's First Swim!

We decided the water was warm enough now to see how Jackson likes swimming... he did great! He didn't know what to think at first but we can tell he is going to LOVE the water!

Father's Day

Ryan had a great first Father's Day... actually a great Father's Day weekend! Friday night we went with Grandma and Grandpa to Red's - it was great and Grandma got to feed Jackson :)

Saturday Ryan played golf with his friends and then spent time with Jack while I went to Joey's Bachelorette party... don't worry, I was home early! Today we took Baba, Gransie and Kevin to lunch at BJ's Brewhouse where Ryan and Baba got commemorative glasses and a chance to win a golf package... hope they win! Jackson was being good so we were able to take some pictures before he got bored with that!

9 weeks

Jackson turned 9 weeks on Thursday and had his checkup too. He is 12lbs 2oz and 23 inches long. (They think they might have measured wrong at his last check up because he is doing great and growing just fine)

He is SO strong. Here is his first adventure in his bumbo... still early yet but he already holds his head up for a long time!

Doctor Visit / Day Care

No pics today - just a quick update...
Today was VERY tough for me - let's just say there were a FEW tears this morning leaving Jackson. I went downstairs to visit multiple times - I LOVE that he is so close :)

Jackson is having some trouble eating so I took him to the Doctor today - basically Mommy is cutting Chocolate and Dairy out of her diet to see if either of those are the culprit... most of you know that these are 2 of my most favorite foods so I'm struggling a bit. Next week Jackson has his check up and if his eating isn't better than we might try acid reflux medicine.
The good news is that some how he is STILL eating plenty...

CURRENT WEIGHT (at 8 weeks): 12 lbs 6 oz - my big boy!!

Jackson's Baptism

Jackson was baptized on Sunday, June 7th 2009. Many of our wonderful friends and family shared this very special moment and we were happy they could be there. Jackson was as good as a 7 week old is expected to be with crying only half the time ;) He wore the same outfit that Daddy and Uncle Kevin both wore and looked adorable! It's a good thing we had him baptized when we did because if we had waited any longer that outfit would not have fit! He is getting so big and I will be sure to update you all after his next checkup.

Jackson goes to daycare tomorrow and mommy goes back to work :( I have already teared up a few times today so I know tomorrow will be pretty tough. The good thing is that he is in my building and I can see him whenever I want. I'll let you know how tomorrow goes... wish me luck!
